Can a Christian truly be saved and then lose their salvation?
Jesus says:
“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.”
John 10:28 ESV
The security of the believer does not ultimately rest on how tightly we hold onto Christ, but on how securely Christ holds onto His people.
True saving faith endures because Christ preserves His own. This assurance does not give Christians permission to live carelessly. It gives us confidence to continue following our Shepherd in faith and obedience.
